Glasgow Business Accelerator Programme


The Glasgow Business Accelerator Programme offers support for businesses at differing stages of growth in a different, more aimed, and innovative approach. The programme merges traditional teaching techniques with mentorship and guidance.


There are five Accelerator Programmes small and medium businesses can choose from. These are creative industries accelerator, social enterprise sector accelerator, established or family business accelerator, women-led accelerator and high growth and innovation accelerator.


Businesses who reach all the following criteria are eligible for the Glasgow Business Accelerator Programme:

  • operates in the Glasgow City Council area and must be registered with Glasgow City Council's non-domestic rates office (if in a business premises)

  • has less than 250 employees

  • is a limited company, community interest company, public limited company, limited liability partnership, sole trader or legally constituted third sector organisation

Glasgow Business Growth Programme


The Glasgow Business Growth Programme gives businesses the opportunity to benefit from a variety of support through Glasgow City Council's business voucher programme.


The offered support topics are:

  • design thinking

  • business structuring

  • business innovation

  • internationalisation

  • business resilience

  • business financial management

  • leadership, resources, and skills

  • digital development and innovation

Businesses who reach all the following criteria are eligible for the Glasgow Business Growth Programme:

  • Operates in the Glasgow City Council area and must be registered with Glasgow City Council's non-domestic rates office (if in a business premises)

  • has less than 250 employees

Help to Grow Management Course


The Help to Grow Management Course is 90% subsidised by the government and aims to support senior managers of small and medium sized businesses to improve their business's performance, resilience, and long-term growth. This course is available to not just businesses in Glasgow but the whole of the UK.


Businesses who reach all the following criteria are eligible for the Help to Grow Management Course:

  • are a small or medium business based in the UK

  • employ between 5 and 249 people

  • have been operating for at least one year

  • is not a charity
